many of cold steel knives are made in Japan, China, Taiwan, and India, but there are based out of California. Cold steel knives make there knives and other products out of some of the best steel made. Steel such as VG-1 Stainless Steel, and SK-5 High Carbon Steel and many other top of the line steels. There are also many videos that show the great quality there there knives. I would recommended watching these videos, they are quite impressive, and very educational, and you get to see first hand what these produces are made of, and what they are capable of.
