If your mom is a single mom, the chances are she would welcome any opportunity to indulge in pampering activities at home. In that light, there are gadgets that exist to promote that pampering mood. For one, there are spa lights that can be added to the bathtub below the surface of the water that give her the exciting bathing experience that is different from what she normally has. There are also vibrating head massagers that could complete her whole pampering exercise by making contact with the pressure points to get her completely relaxed.
Now, if your mom happens to be one who is separated from her husband and is a little bitter about it, there are also Christmas gifts that invoke humor that you could get her. For example, there are voodoo knife blocks available that simulate a man being stabbed five times by five knives. In a lot of cases, women will envision the man on the block being their husband. It is quite a humorous gift to give, and is something your mom would probably enjoy using quite often!
If your mother is a regular traveler, there are also gadgets she could use when traveling. Things like alarm clocks are very handy if she is traveling somewhere outside of her normal area. Other products that might be useful to her include portable desktop fans, which she could carry anywhere to keep herself cool in the event there is no electricity to provide ventilation. Then, for those vacations that you guys could take as a family, there are underwater digital cameras that add some excitement to one's ability to take pictures when on vacation. Instead of taking everything above the surface, there is the opportunity for her to take pictures underwater. That's a cool spin on photography!
Finally, for your mom's girls' night out, it would be a great idea to give her some ice beer mugs for when all the girls just unwind and do what the guys usually do. Those ice beer mugs will guarantee that even if mom drinks one beer for the entire night, it will be cool from the time it is poured in until the last drops gets to her mouth.
So to answer the question, "Are there any gadgets my mom would want for Christmas?" the answer would definitely be yes. Although the gadgets may not necessarily seem like typical gifts to give your mom, they certainly would be welcome and appreciated because they are things that she would use at one point or the other. Try your luck at getting them; you can guarantee a much better response from her compared to Christmases of the past!
